When we founded UMIAR, we knew we wanted to create for everyone. For girls and boys, for women and men, for those younger and older, for you and for ourselves. We design pieces that do not require labels, because they are meant to work across contexts and across identities. Each model can be worn, shared, exchanged and reinterpreted over time.
This idea naturally extends to the people we collaborate with. The protagonist of our latest photo series is naked relaxing, a Warsaw-based DJ and producer whose work moves freely between techno and trance. In his sets, he connects two seemingly opposite poles, a sense of unrestrained feeling and a precise control of sound, allowing them to coexist on the same stage.
He has performed alongside artists such as Mall Grab, VTSS and Hector Oaks, is a resident of Poznań’s Projekt LAB, and the host of the “naked” series. There is already growing attention around him, and we sense that this is only the beginning. Olek’s music, like anything truly compelling, does not recognise limits.
