Fingers travelling across a map. Where might they take us. Perhaps to a warm sea, to rocks rising sharply toward the sky, to heated sand and limestone cliffs. Capri.
Our latest UMIAR collection draws inspiration from the topography of this iconic island, from the sculpted ridges of its hills and mountains, and from their graphic translation into contour lines. Those horizontal markings that fill atlases so precisely have long fascinated us. In them, writers such as Judith Schalansky and, later, Olga Tokarczuk discovered entire worlds contained within poetic miniatures. We were drawn to the same tension between precision and imagination.

We began with the horizontal lines of Monte Solaro, the highest peak of Capri, and allowed them to rise upward, stretching them into multidimensional shapes of earrings, rings and bracelets. Gentle and steep slopes, elevations and irregularities shaped by nature carry a sense of universal harmony. We recognise that harmony in cartographic sketches, and from there transform it into jewellery.
The textures of each piece remain intentionally uneven and softly undulating, echoing the natural relief of terrain. Their surfaces catch and refract light, creating a subtle shimmer. In selected designs, we introduced a counterpoint in the form of diamonds set into silver and gold. As light penetrates the stone and reflects from the curves of the cut, the jewellery gains a distinct optical depth. The visual effects achieved through shaping precious materials are central to our practice, and this time they were inspired by island landscapes and the intensity of Mediterranean sun.

Among the new releases are distinctive necklaces that extend our previous explorations. Alongside bolo ties, hand-braided chains and pearl chokers from earlier collections, we introduce DORSA COLLA, a design that combines the quiet classicism of a chain with a pendant descending directly along the neckline.
The campaign accompanying the collection unfolds against the backdrop of a vintage Ford Capri, a vehicle that feels like a portal to somewhere warm and luminous, where lemon trees grow along rocky slopes and the horizon seems almost within reach. Capri becomes both destination and metaphor, a place mapped not only by geography but by form.
The collection is available online and at our boutique at Plac Przymierza 4 in Warsaw.
