There are moments when a project leaves the studio and begins to function differently. This year, UMIAR took part in two editions of Paris Fashion Week.
It was an important time. Not only because the jewellery was shown in Paris, but because it reached people who had come from all over the world. People seeing it for the first time. In those situations, only the piece and the first impression remain, and that is always the most interesting part.
Both presentations took place in a showroom organised by The HS agency. It was located in a beautiful Parisian apartment, which gave the whole experience a very particular character. Within that setting, our pieces were shown alongside brands such as THE MANNEI, Izakova and Inglot. It made clear the kind of environment our work naturally belongs to.

The March edition of PFW was especially significant. It marked the first presentation of the METEORITES collection, created specifically for this occasion.
METEORITES began with a reflection on movement and tension. On a moment that lasts only briefly. On light that appears suddenly and cuts through darkness. The inspiration came from celestial phenomena, events happening far beyond our reach, yet still capable of shaping imagination.
The forms in this collection are more sculptural and more defined than in our previous designs. They capture the instant just before impact, suspended between motion and stillness. Each piece is handcrafted in our atelier, in solid 925 sterling silver and 14-karat gold, with careful attention to proportion and detail.

The names of the designs refer to some of the most recognisable objects that have entered the Earth’s atmosphere. We treat them as symbols of force, light and transformation. METEORITES was created for a specific moment, but its meaning extends beyond a single presentation.
Showing this collection in Paris felt like a natural step. The experience itself is difficult to reduce to a single sentence. It is not only about presentation, but about observing how jewellery functions in a new setting and begins to move to its own rhythm.
